Looking for part time OTs (1-2) who are interested in working in the community with clients who have Mental Health and/or Physical Disabilities. This is a flexible opportunity where you can expand your clinical skills, business acumen and income. Workload includes performing assessments and treatment interventions for WSIB clients; and/or individuals who have been involved in Motor Vehicle Accident claims (working within the guidelines of the SABS) as conducted by insurance rep or legal rep referral.
I V League of Occupational Therapist (IVOT) has been an industry leader since 1990 (originally known as Toronto Occupational Therapy Associates). The company has a 31 year history of providing exemplary OT services to the Auto Insurance sector, Law firms and WSIB clients.
We serve clients throughout Ontario so prospective OT candidates do not have to be Toronto-based. A significant portion of our clients are located in Durham (Pickering, Oshawa), Halton/Hamilton, Niagara (Niagara Falls, St. Catharines), Peel (Brampton, Mississauga), Waterloo Region (Kitchener, Guelph), York (Newmarket, Richmond Hill), and Toronto). We pay for your mileage, travel time, direct client time and report preparation. If you have less than five years experience, on the job training is provided for the duration of your first year. For OTs with related experience, mentorship is provided on a regular basis for each file. You will have the opportunity to conduct assessments (attendant care, hospital discharge, functional status) and to provide OT community-based intervention (Functional Activation and Return To Work) in person and virtually.
This is an opportunity to learn in a supportive environment, feel proud of contributing to your client's welfare, and work with autonomy to schedule your own appointments and manage your own caseload. Possibility to increase hours from part time to full time exists.
